Some of the questions asked by home owners.

How long after power washing you can paint a house?
The time frame will depend on the weather. During the summer the moisture evaporates very quickly and after power washing the house in the morning, it can be painted a few hours later(assuming it it ready for painting and no cracks are needed to be fixed). During the winter it needs to dry for a t least 24 hour period.

How to get rid of left overs of paint?
There is no special place where someone can just bring the unwanted paint. Usually the painters get rid of extra paint by using it as an undercoat on the next painting project or drying it on the sun. One can purchase a thick piece of plastic from Home Depot and after laying it out on the back yard, pour the paint on the plastic. After sitting on the sun for a few days, and being completely dry, plastic with dry paint on it can be disposed of as a regular garbage.

What would happen if you use interior paint for exterior of the house?
That would not be a pretty sight. In a few months the paint would be pealing off in large chunks and it would take a lot of effort to strip the surface completely of old paint and apply the proper exterior paint.

What if you use cheep paint for the exterior of the house?
If the paint is formulated for the exterior of the house, it is just not of a very high quality, the re-paint of the house would need to be done much sooner than with premium paints. The least expensive paint from Dunn Edwards store, for example, is called Versa flat and should last about five years in Arizona weather. More expensive paints such as Acri-hues or Acri-flat, which are 100 percent acrylic, should last twice as long. As the labor cost is a large part of the total cost of painting the house, the saving with least expensive paint will be very insignificant.
